Coolerworx shifter

This just a quick review in case people were interested. I installed a coolerworx shifter in my ‘18 JCW Hardtop last week. The install was interesting as there were no instructions included. Not a huge deal it’s a straight forward install. One thing of note is the right rear nut to hold the shifter down had to be started with the shifter tilted to the right as the metal of the tower bends too close to the stud not allowing you to get it started. I had figured this out after having 2 already in and had to remove them to start that one. As far as the console you have to trim 2 spots. First is the ring in the shifter opening that your trim attaches to. That has to be removed. Second there is a pointless tab that sticks inward from the I-drive area that has to be taken off as the shifter hits that going into gear.

The best part of this shifter other than the shifting is that you can keep the cup holders. I have one pic here and when I remove the console this week to move the shifter forward I’ll snap a few more pics of the install.

Where does that cable go to? Assuming it is for reverse lockout?

It is the reverse lockout cable and it isn’t attached yet. It will be after I move the shifter forward.

I contacted them twice, once with questions and the second time trying to purchase. They never got back to me. Is there no way to keep the ring mode selector at all?
