R56 n14 Data log

Could someone take a look at these two logs for me. I have a MCS with a slightly more efficient Borg warner turbo ( closer to JCW specs than stock)

Im running an AP stage 2 tune with no cat, k&n air filter and larger FMIC

( there is also a manual boost controller installed to stop me from hitting the 22psi boost ceiling, but I dont think thats having any effect right now as the highest I see is 19psi and with stage 3 I get to 20.5psi which is where its set to stop)

The knock values are what have me worried but Im not really sure what Im looking at here. I also feel like the car is a bit sluggish compared to before I had the old turbo replaced which was throwing p2885 due to waste gate linkage.

thanks!

I too don't know anything about knock values, but until your data logs are attached, don't expect much help!

BTW, I'm currently looking at Borg Warner for a replacement. Which one did you go with?

Haha thanks

I ended up with 53039880163, seems like a solid replacement if you have no tune or plan on getting a custom one made. It's a 2080 as opposed to the 2074 that came stock. Trim on jcw is 65 the 2080 is just behind at 64 and stock is 55.

I still don't know anything about knock values, but after comparing your data logs with one of my old ones (pre-300 numbers), I have similar variations between all 4 cylinders. Without a "frozen header", it's difficult to read beyond the 1st screen of data, so I didn't put much effort into the comparison --- looking at other data.

If your only problem is "sluggish", I'll suggest that you need a different tune. AP tunes are pretty specific for a given turbo, so after changing to something in-between JCW and MCS, I'd expect a performance loss. Try contacting a tuner for better info on how changing turbos affects the tune --- see if they confirm my suggestion.

Thanx for the BW info. I was hoping you had one of the EFR series, but I'll take a look at the 2080 and others with similar characteristics.
