Stock JCW Exhaust vs. Stock F56 Exhaust - Any difference?

I've been unable to find a clear answer on this one...

Is there any difference between the stock exhaust on the JCW when compared to the stock exhaust on the F56-S? Besides the obvious end-tips? I'm NOT asking about the JCW PRO Exhaust with the Bluetooth feature.

I'm curious because several guys that have the JCW have upgraded their stock exhaust to the JCW PRO set-up, so I'm wondering if putting a stock JCW exhaust on my F56-S would be any different sounding than my stock equipment.

Cheers!

I will definitely sound better/louder - not quite as loud as the JCW Pro in Track mode, but louder than the JCW Pro in the normal mode. The "pops and burbles" in SPORT mode become louder and more frequent as well.

IIRC the JCW pipe is 2.75" from the CAT back. The S is a hair over 2.5".

Figured I'd update this thread for others reference.

I replaced my stock F56-S exhaust with the JCW stock exhaust. It was a direct swap that took about one hour of labor.

The main physical difference between the two are the JCW full length pipe is much wider diameter, but also oval in shape, where the "S" is round and smaller diameter. The JCW also is much heavier, being made of a thicker metal tubing.

Sound wise... I'd say the JCW is about 10-20% louder at idle and normal driving. Putting it into Sport does result in more pops when letting off the gas, along with a low frequency rumble sound on hard accelerations when the car shifts gears.

The stock JCW tips and stock "S" tips are interchangeable. However, the JCW "PRO" chrome and carbon fiber tips will NOT fit on this exhaust without being modified or welded. The "PRO" exhaust is 1/8" larger is diameter, so those tips fit too loose on the stock exhaust to use only the supplied set-screw... but they can easily be tack welded on in 5 minutes.

All in all, it's a nice little upgraded on the "S" that didn't cost much at all. Exhaust + Labor cost me $150. Plus I could have tried selling my "S" exhaust to recoup some money, but didn't bother.
