Drivetrain R53 exhaust
I progressed through each one of my mods one at a time. Partly to keep costs down and buy used if I could, and secondly. To be able to see what sort of bang for the buck the mod had.
At the time of adding a JCW exhaust using the R53 center pipe section ( no JCW resonator pipe ) Raven had a 17% SCP, Alta CAI, updated OEM crank pulley. Without a doubt there was a very noticeable difference going from the One Ball Mod it had. Engine was breathing so much better, RPM band was much smoother and more aggressive towards red line.
I've also tested the Magnaflow and ALTA, which is presently being used. Since that time have added the JCW Tune/Injectors and GP Intercooler. With respect to sound / exhaust note and performance, I would rate the ALTA as the best of the lot I have used.
My first ALTA muffler section developed some sort of loose shield inside it. It resonated badly as certain RPM's, but they have a life time warranty and they replaced it very quickly. Excellent customer service.
If you go the JCW route, use your R53 center pipe cut to length to connect to the JCW back section. It provided the best performance sound quality over using the JCW center pipe IMO.

I've been running the Invidia N1 for about three years, and have been very happy. The tone is a bit louder & lower than stock, and no drone whatsoever. Install was a snap and build quality is very good, not to mention a nice price. It'd be worth looking at/listening to some YouTube videos.
The Milltek exhaust is a great sounding kit, doesn't require any modification to fit it to the car.
The Invidia is a great sounding exhaust, but there are like 5 pieces that all come together to build the exhaust, but it is a great sounding kit.

Drive Hard. Drive Safe. Keep Grinning.
Unfortunately it is hard to find information of hp and torque changes caused by different exhaust. This guy however did provide that information with the stock exhaust and 2 Borla exhaust. Dyno sheets for each are shown in the video.
