Just twin charge my S , added a SPI Powercell turbo, still doing some minor adjustments using the Apex to level out the engine, Waiting to replace the existing 400 injectors with some 440 injectors.
Will dyno the car and take it to the 1/4 mile after we have finish the adjustments.
just judging from driving the car 12 seconds for the quarter should be posible.
Car also have Minisport big valve head, Schrick cam, 63mm port & polish intake, minisport dual exhaust, Quaife lsd and various suspension mods.

13.99 would take my old STi with a bad launch when in was stock. I miss that car, but don't miss replacing tires twice a year and getting 12 mpg around town. Just enjoy the car you have and it's strengths. A MC on R comps will spank almost any high hp car at an autocross hands down. Mini's aren't meant to be drag racers. If you want to go fast in a straight line buy a Mustang, EVO, STi, Corvette, GTO, etc......
It showed 197whp on our dyno and on this calculator for 100mph it shows 198.71whp at 2546lb with me in it

MPH = horsepower ET = how efficent you and your Mini are

Meandering, and related thoughts, pick as many as you'd like:
I drive an IS350 and an MCS b/c they're VERY different cars with VERY different "purposes" and love them both for what they do best
This thread is entertaining, for it's bench racing comedy and quality performance mod discussions/proven examples
Just read the hp/tq article in MC2, can't wait to start seeing electrics at the track--no hearing loss, but no visceral thumping either!
I have Steve's rear seat delete--it's first rate, affordable, and lighter than a home made plywood job if you plan to drag your MINI ;-)
Keep up the good work everybody!

It amazes me how many people are misinformed about the reaction time at the dragstrip.
Reaction Time (the time it takes for you to get the car off the beam at the starting line once the light turns green) is NOT a factor in your ET, nor your 60ft time. Those of you that have made "60 passes" and are still thinking the reaction time is a part of your 14 second timeslip, please listen up.
Otherwise, this is a good thread, keep it going. I'm a drag racing junkie and was curious as to my new Mini's performance. Looks like I have quite a bit of modding to do before it's presentable in 1320 fashion.

hey thanx for bringing that up, its good to hear some experts chime in. i was once in that lost state of mind where i thought that if i could get my reation time down, i would also get my time down!
but, you learn as you go!
another tip to the newbies is a lot of guys think that you have to dropclutch to get a good launch. i never raced with slicks, so i cant say much about that, but if ur rolling on street tires, the best way is to ride the clutch out with mayb just a tad of wheelspin. i got a 2.2 in a 60ft on factory tires, a lot of practice will get ur et way down. oh, and a slipping clutch, of course!
