All I can say is WOW...the fun factor has really increased exponentially. This car was fun to drive before but this has brought it to a new level of enjoyment. Well worth the money in my book.

You're going to really enjoy it along with all your other goodies. My next project is 2% and then Nitrous.

Did you get the console area cleaned up? Photos?

Yes, Pic's.... I want to see what color combo you went with.
(I'm probably going to spend the extra and go with the black/red like the pic)

I'll get some pics. All the new shifters come black annodized. Since I'm going Nitrous in the future we're going to do a complete refiguration of the center console to include gauges, buttons etc. They did a pretty sanitary job of keeping most of the stock consolé intact.

Going to try and put the old trim ring and attach some leather to keep the well from being so open. Once I go to Nitrous we'll fabricate a new panel. Wanted the red **** but this is how it came.

Just to update my experience wit the CAE shifter. Best mod I've done on the car and I have done quite a bit to this car. The fun factor is over the top for me. I've had it about 9 months and every time I drive the car I can't wait to start going through the gears. It was worth the wait and the cost.

Definitely a wish list item! Too bad there are no Midwest shops to help me install something like that . Any down sides such as , missing gears, breaking the trans, etc?

Fun factor just gets better every day. Best mod by far. No issues at all. Built like a tank and looks great.

Now that is a shifter that I would want. Our manual Mini is challenging enough to be carjacked by most young thugs and this should take it to the next level - of challenge. Seriously, I am considering one.

Yea, they would see that and walk away. Track guys we see that and drool on the window. So I guess you would need some towel to carry around.

I was wondering what that liquid was on my windows!! Every time I drive this car I'm really glad I spent the money adding it. Until you've experienced the short solid shift you can't really explain how enjoyable it makes driving the car. I would have never thought there'd be that kind of difference.

Hello, wanted to give a shout out to all the CAE owners who have installed their short shifter. I recieved mine in the mail, really amped about installing, yet it did not come with instructions. Just wanted to know if it's simply an intuitive install? I know its gonna be fun, just wanted to see if there was some type of documentation out there.

thanks

let me know what other color you would like, red is nice.
I was hoping for one in a sea-foam green/ tiffany blue would that be possible?
