Straightforward install. Sound is good - not too loud at all, but growls nicely under hard acceleration. Took about an hour at a leisurely pace.

Weights:

Stock 44lbs
Borla 32lbs

Very nice fit and finish. I intend to write an entire how-to to include pics from DiD and video/sound (as evidenced above) from ficcion.

Thanks to DaveinDenver and ficcion for the most excellent assistance.

Install in the Denver area is available. We are starting a new MINI modification business with installation of filters, exhaust, springs, etc. along with routine maintenance. Strictly MINI!! E-mail for info at randy@webbmotorsports.com

There were two jack stands in place plus the jacks.

>>Safety is always first!! Now I don't usually go around tooting my horn, but since you questioned and I'm starting a new shop, I felt it necessary. The whole point will be moot soon because we will be putting in a lift anyway.

Some pics I took (note the two jackstands)

Note the convoluted stock routing on the right (the Borla is about 10-12 lbs lighter than stock)

The old stock tips

one of the blurrier pictures I have taken (Borla tips BTW)

Did you guys have to tweak the stock rear skid plate a little to clear the tips? Mine was rubbing the tubing going to the tips and making an anoying noise inside the car. Luckily the skid plate/heat shield is real thin and easy to bend.

Randy had to break out the Dremel to trim the heatshield

It probably only took about 1.5 hours. We'll be doing mine soon, so hopefully with a little practice under our belts, we cut the time down. Getting the stock exhaust off of the hangers was the most difficult part.

ficcion: I'll be ordering it tomorrow.

2minis: yeah, near as we could guess the routing is that way on the stock exhaust to meet euro noise restrictions or something.

We just might get the cars on a dyno this winter.

I use a Mac running OS X. You need Windows Media Player. Why folks don't do things in mpeg puzzles me.

Mine would have arrived today, but during a quick trip to the store is when the UPS guy showed up so I have to wait until Monday to pick it up.
