New to moding. Advice on where to start

Hey guys and gals,
I've got an 09 jcw hard top. Just got a little bonus from work and was considering buying my jcw, Lenore, done Christmas presents. I saw that m7 has a deal with a charge pipe and heat shield that I was considering. So the question is, are the charge pipes worth it? I currently have no other mods done but I did hear that they add a little hp and a little extra noise from the turbo, which I would love, the one guy I talk to from the dealership said not worth it and to just save my money. Should I grab done charge pipes or save for something else? What would you recommend for a starting place on an 09 jcw

Feel free to call or email us and we'll help you to put a real cost effective plan with real gains together.
If you want to get a heat shield this is what I would start with as it works, fits right and is cheap

And if you want a charge pipe again save your money, we've got just the pipe to remove the resonator

Depending on budget I would save for an intercooler though

Intercooler (consistent performance in the heat), engine torque arm insert (better throttle response but more vibration in cabin) and Manic Stage 1 tune (more power).

You don't need a heat shield. What did you do to make more heat than stock ??? Nothing. So why by a piece of metal that has some name on it ??
