A Question about fouled Densos

I'm hoping to get a little direction here. I recently picked up my MCS from my dealer where I had to leave it for more than two weeks because I live 150 miles away. They said they had to move the car several (many?) times to get other cars out of the lot to service them. They told me that because of this starting, not letting the car warm-up, shutting the car down ritual, two of the Denso IK22s I had installed at a pulleyparty in February had fouled. All plugs were subsequently replaced with stock plugs.

My questions are to anyone who knows - Does this sound like a reasonable explanation for the fouling of two plugs? I had not had any problems with the plugs in the previous six months they have been in the car. Also, how critical is it that I replace with new Densos since I have the 15% reduction pulley?

Thanks,

Tim

It sounds par-for-the-course for a dealership to screw up a customers car

I would require the dealership pay for any and all damages they caused. In your case, two new Denso's

No, it's not critical you run IK22's with a reduction pulley - just recommended. Your engine will not spontaneously combust using stock plugs

It sounds a little weird to me. I have had the Denso's for over a year with no fouling. In all of my driving experience, over 30 years, I have only fouled plugs on a oil burning engine and a 2 stroke motorcycle.
Perhaps some mechanic now has a set of Denso's on his MCS????

Believe it or not, they gave me the Densos back. I thought maybe they took them out, for some reason, and then dropped a couple on the garage floor. But, they look fine, still look gapped correctly, although they are a little more "sooty" they I thought they would be. Go figure.
