also, the pictures don't show up. the pictures not very critical for me, but the torque specs are.

Specifically which torque specs or values are you looking for.

The way the MINI/BMW service CD is arranged the torque specs are not always listed in the section on the specific replacement but rather in a general area on torque values based on the size and type of bolt or nut.

So make note of the bolt size and then you can look it up from there. Also there are specific posts on torque specs for things like brake upgrade install and for Quaife LSD install.

for all the diy's... calipers, exhaust, suspension procedures. i read all of the diy's and did not find any directions to torque the bolts down to any specifications.

imo, its rather dangerous/foolhardy to not torque to spec on these components when you put them back... ie: calipers too tight, etc...

I asked the same question today and was told that it was between 90-100 lbs, but don't quote me on that as I'm sure there are different settings for differing parts of the car.

For Brake torque values see this thread (see outmotoring DIY post)
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...=torque+values

For Quaife install see this thread- (pocketrocketowner's post)
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...=torque+values

Most values you can find in the MINI TIS CD.
My mechanic had one to refer to so I don't know the actual numbers.
Randy webb would also know the values or could help look up any that you'd need specifically.

thanks, i have access to TIS also.

my comment was to have the DIY's edited to contain those torque values. some diy'ers may not know better and just assume hand tight is good enough or get warped components from over tight. DIY's with this much instruction should always have specific instructions....

and we all know what "assume" stands for.

it was just my suggestion, hence its in site feedback.

cheers

Why doesn't someone start a thread in Performance Mods :: Drivetrain with all the torque specs they can find?

I'll add that new thread to the How-To's list. It's just a lot of editing to modify each and every how-to.

That's what I propose for now. If one of the other moderators has time to edit each of the posts, then you may get your how-to specific torque specs, but realistically with my available time, that's the limit of what I can do.
