Drivetrain NICE: $230 Ebay Exhaust install with VIDEO
I thought about the two bolt flanges. But I am always skeptical about an eBay clone exhaust. So I wanted the flexibility of slip got joints in case it's not the perfect size. There's some wiggle room.
Its always either perfect, or PITA... Ive only had good luck with the last 3 ebay ones on my 2 e30's, e46m and now, r53 (remains to be seen)
let me know how yours ends up fitting if it gets fitted before mine!
Mine gets delivered Friday according to UPS. If it comes early in the day, it'll go on that day. If not I'll have to wait till Saturday.
Yup mine says Monday the 29th, but they said that about my intake and it came in on friday so I'll probably be getting it put on the same time as you hopefully... will report back in a week guys!
Check out the videos on first page... he's got some after first install, driving inside cabin, drive-by and then revving again in a garage.
From what it seems like, they do sound kind of similar... I was going to go scorpion or invidia myself but I went with this one because I needed a quick fix for my now leaking exhaust.

Ya earlier in the thread he mentioned he had to cut the hangers because they were too long and made the exhaust sit real low... Everything else lined up perfect so to me that's a very minor thing as far as fitment.

There's 2 ppl that are getting this exhaust at the end of the week. They'll report back on what they had to do to get it installed on an 05.
I got mine in today... Going to see what availability my local shop has and will report back with results.
Update on fitment:
Don't know if they sent me the wrong parts, or it just doesn't fit... I just don't think that the hangers from an 03 and 05-06 are that drastically different besides the direction they point.
Anywho, picture below show the problem. On the mid pipe, the hangers are supposed to be long enough to bolt into the holes on each side... Not even close
Secondly, not major, but... Hangers on mine are like so (Pic shows hangers that came on exhaust, with factory ones wrapped around muffler to show difference)
One point toward the front of the car, while the other points to the side... On this exhaust, both hangers pointed towards the front of the car. Not even worth modifying the muffler shop said since thats what ultimately holds the exhaust up onto the rubber hangers.
Pics:

I contacted the seller via phone, and they want proof of fitment problems since Im "the only one who has found issues" with fitting the exhaust on.
Hopefully its just a wrong part but I doubt it. Will update about refund... going to bill them for the hour of labor muffler shop charged me since Ill have to pay this again when I get a correct fitting exhaust.

Mehh, idk where you would weld brackets to... the hangers are short and facing the wrong way by a long shot. If they were too long, yes... But to weld a bracket to extend it is more work in labor time than the exhaust itself (at least thats what the shop told me) since most shops in my area charge about $120-$160 in labor per hour.
At that price I would've let them hack it up and make it fit lol
My exhaust showed up yesterday. But my exhaust shop is booked till the 6th. I can tell right off the bat that it's going to require a few tweaks. My setup is slip fit not flanged. And two of the flanges seem like they need to be opened up a little bit. But other than that I think it'll be ok
