Colant leak 2006 MCS

Hello!

Does anyone have any thoughts on what would cause coolant to accumulate in the area circled in red.

Thanks

Well that's the thermostat housing there, needs a gasket or the entire housing if warped. Easy fix

Thanks, I just checked my records and this was replaced in November 2008 with 42,000 miles. I'm at 79,000 miles now, I guess this is a common issue.

it is a common issue, they may have just replaced the gasket and the housing had an issue. Perhaps they didn't clean off the corrosion, seems early to fail again.
