Harmonic Damper install noise

I had my harmonic damper replaced ATI super damper and it makes rattle like Diesel engine at first start but goes away after initial drive ?? Was wondering if it was installed correct or is it inevitable or not torched correctly? Installer said its because metal to metal contact ..what else could it be ??

That doesn't sound right... Must be loose or something.

Agreed, something is not right!

ATI Superdamper on my R53 makes no noise.

Will this (noise) cause problems if left as is ..seriously thought of choking it with WW40...?...or would it be wise to have worked on again and replace value ring in process

well a noise usually indicates a problem, best to address it.

Another clue popped up it only makes noise when I turn the AC on ..!... So one would certainly conclude its the AC condenser but would it be wise to just change coil or replace unit ?!?
