Zero Gravity Module

Bought this Zero Gravity Module on ebay, supposed to trick Intake Air Temperature sensor and give you 15 HP.
Anyone know about this?
Anyone know where IATsensor is?
Thanx

You're giving "snake oil" a bad name.

I actually tried it (yeah I'm gullible, too). At first, I thought I noticed a difference, but after a while I wasn't so sure. I was concerned because it seemed to get HOT. I thought maybe engine heat was melting it or something.

Anyway, I took it back out and didn't notice any change in performance (which means it either never worked before, or it stopped working at some point before I took it out).

For those of you unfamiliar with the product it is supposed to "tell" your ECU that CAI is always 32 deg and therefore lshkdhghqegfheg????? .

Let us know If you have better luck. I'd really like to compare results.

i've seen similar devices, such as the power module for the KE-Jetronic system on my 86 16V scirocco (may god rest it's soul). it was basically a resistance module that would trick the jetronic computer into thinking the coolant temp was cold. this would dump extra fuel into the engine and make some power toward the higher rpms, and it did....BUT only on engines that benifitted from extra fuel, like my VW (schrick cams, adjustable cam gear, k&n, catback). with those mods my scirocco ran pretty lean, and the power module gave it a nice push. however, as most of you know, the mini runs rich on WOT programming. so.... dumping extra fuel would not be a good thing for the mini. considering all the aftermarket programming for the mini lean out the top end.... hmmmmmm...

my conclusion: snake oil

just read the original post again...

it seems that i missed that this module works on the intake air temp, NOT the coolant temp. this changes things a bit.... i know that the mini ecu will dump extra fuel to cool the intake charge when the IAT is high. this module would prevent that. but here's the question:

is there more or less fuel for hotter air?

considering that cooler air is more dense (more air molecules), i would think that this would call for more fuel. hot air is less dense, thus less fuel, does this make sense? if this is the case, it is still making the mixture richer, which isn't good. but.... i'm guessing now. ...and blabbing on about things i don't know... yes, it's best to just stop now.

I'm still waiting for a Flux Capacitor to show up on EBay for our MINIs.

The MINIs electrical system would have to be substantially upgraded to handle the 1.21 Jigawatts!!!

Yeah! If you are reading the MINI speedo, that is correct! Your actual speed, however, would be 86mph!!!!

I knew someone would catch me on that....
