Today, I finally was able to go back to the same dyno with the same customers F56 2.0L B48 Last week we dyno'd 218whp/232wtq, with just a JB piggy back, but tonight we gained 5whp, and a huge 37wtq!! The car is stock besides a JB piggy back and my DP. Next will be the intercooler, that will use factory connections (no cutting, and 100% reversible) and have billet brackets, to support the factory radiator. I have two Intercoolers, that are built and ready to go. A special price of $995 will be offered for these tow IC's and installation, will only be $100. One of tune stipulation, is the customer must live close to Southern California, because of the install. Email is the best way at MarioPalza@gmail.com mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer

It looks like the torque junks all over the place during the dyno pull....is that normal? Don't you want a nice, smooth, and flat torque curve?

AFR's remained near stock, which seem to run a little lean, but the car isn't really being pushed out of its comfort zone

"Lean" is relative and not applicable across engines and certainly not across injection technologies. You have to remember this engine is a center-located DI, so even at high cylinder pressures the engine can tolerate closer to peak torque AFR's and doesn't need to rely on chemical quench from overly rich fueling. Also, of course the AFR's remained stock, because the onboard WBO2 targets in closed-loop even at full load.

So, "lean" in this application would likely be less than a 0.9 lambda at the top half of the RPM band, but that's just a ballpark based on other BMW center-DI Valvetronic engines.
