Props to Dinan for posting data to back up their products. The exhaust backpressure results in particular are very interesting.

In trying to be cordial, I made such a comment above (about back pressure being provided, and I think that is a first). But with their stock exhaust weight figure seemingly very much off of what we have heard, and I (and others) have meausred, it does have a way of making me wonder what other data is not accurate...

Injector, Injector programmer? I'm not very familiar with performance upgrades so could you explain what this is? Thanks.

3 basic ways to get a performance ECU... buy a second ecu and have software installed on there... have a device that plugs into a port on the car and programs the ECU... have the software installed by a shop on your current ecu.

The advantage of the device ("injector") is that you don't need to visit shops whenever you add/delete the software from the car.

I just got off the phone with Dinan

I called Dinan today to get the scoop on their new upgrades. BTW, the new throttle body is now featured on the Mini upgrade page on Dinan's website. While the technician was not able to provide me with stats he did say the upgrades would improve performance on both the S and the JCWS.
He also said Dinan will start shipping the upgrades to dealers next week so if you want to be the 'first on your block' call your dealer now to place a reservation. Some dealers have already placed orders for their own inventory so if you are interested in this stuff and your dealer has placed a stocking inventory order you can get your's fast.
That said I got the impression during my phone conversation that the Dinan technician was not really prepared to answer my questions which doesn't surprise me, new product introductions especially technical one's are usually released before all the information is ready to release, this is the cost to be an "early adoptor". Check out the throttle body though its pretty slick looking.

Dinan

I was just at my dealer for v38 & window/sunroof lube and electric work. I was thinking perhaps get jcw software for a few under the table $ but got shot down. I was told it wouldn't be right because the head work is different on the jcw kit. I was told about Dinan coming out with mini performance parts kit costing between $1500 and $2000 less than jcw. I have intake & pulley so the software is my next upgrade, still waiting on G.I.A.C. I'll be looking at Dinan later when the stuff does come out.

It is california. We have a secondary standards law. The group that regulates this is called CARB (california air regulations board).
