Drivetrain Being short ain't so bad
Wanted to publicly thank zminiman8 for his help with my short shift install. I had a bear of a time getting the linkage apart, so I asked around for some assistance. He replied and last night we got together.
I felt a little better about myself and my skills when he had trouble as well, but experience won out.
I love the feel of the shifter now, though it is a bit stiff. But it should loosen up a bit.
Thanks again zminiman8!
BTW, I swear this added at least 20hp. Well, it feels like it anyways.

Sorry, I did not take any pics. No digital camera. Besides, there are already some nice installation documents around here or on MINI2.
I have a early 2004, and learned too late that I have the 2003 shift linkage. I had to return the short shift kit and have the old style sent to me. Build date is 10/03.
