Megan header fitment issues.

So I attempted to install my megan header today and it ended up being nothing more than a big head ache.

My first issue started once I got the header bolted on (test pipe not attached) I threaded the up stream O2 sensor into the bung to realize I will never get the heat shield back on and the sensor was pretty much resting on my shift linkage. This issue became even bigger when I realized the wire for the O2 sensor wasn't even long enough to reach the connector in the engine bay.

My question is, is this how the Megan header fits? or did I get the wrong one or a defective one?

Even bolting the test pipe up so the exhaust was whole again didn't help the situation.

Thanks for the link, looks like I'm not the only one with the sensor issue. Now I have to decide if I will just try to return the header and buy a more expensive one or if I want to modify the one I have...

i would suggest keeping it, and getting in touch with jan from rmw about an extension wire. its all up to you of course, but thats what i did and it worked for me. i beleive the extension wire is around $50.

Another reason to go OBX if you're looking at grabbing a budget header. Had Megan ever actually performed a test-fit, or even simpler yet, pulled out a ruler, they'd have seen that this header doesn't quite fit correctly.
