CravenSpeed Short Shifter Clarification

Hello,

New to MINIs and reading up on short shifters.

For the CravenSpeed, it's nice that it is adjustable (the Wife may drive the cars at times and desire stock shifting with less effort), but I have a few questions:

- Does it allow for stock setting height and shorter throw, in case I wanted a shorter reach to the shifter for trackdays and perhaps add a slightly taller shift **** for track days?

- Is the only want to get a shorter throw, is to loosen the adjuster and slide the shaft of the shifter lower? So basically, if you want a shorter throw, you need to have a less than stock height of the shifter ****?

Thanks!

No it does not. It adjusts about the pivot point so by moving the shaft to the stock position would increase the throw back to stock amount.

Ok, that's what I suspected, thanks for confirming. So a Helix adapter would better suit my needs (if my Wife hits the gym and gets used to the higher effort :p)

You can get the shifter back to pretty much stock. I personally have it adjusted just a hair shorter than stock as I don't like to have a whole lot of effort, but want the crisp feel the Craven shifter gives at that point.

It is easily adjusted if you and the wife want it at two different setting. If you plan to change it a lot I would get the shift well cover setup so you can get to the **** really easy.
