23% pulley heading for 300+ HP

Ive got a friend in Taiwan who is running a 23% pulley and wanting to go up to a 24%. Im pretty sure he's going to lose his supercharger pretty soon but he's set on getting over 300hp out of his car.
Can anyone with more experience than me comment on any other damage that could result by running this % pulley apart from supercharger fail?

Also, he's still on a JCW ECU mod and i've suggested he upgrades to a Vipec for the power range he's after but he's worried about finding a capable tuner here as Taiwan sucks for modifying cars!
Is the Vipec tunable by someone who's familiar with AEM and Motec or is it more complicated?

Also, can anyone offer any suggestions for this guys mod list?
Am i correct in my advice to take it down to a 19% pulley, add some 550cc injectors and do the ECU?

I appreciate any advice! Just trying to help out a friend^^

Alta Adjustable Tensioner
23%Supercharger Pulley
2%Super Damper Crank Pulley
Detroit Tuned Bypass Valve
Oil Cooler
4/2/1 header
cat back exhaust system
400CC injectors
JCW GP ECU mod
272 Cam
ALTA CAI

oh wow...... not only will his SC be dead but his engine too! i bet he is running really lean under wot

if he has the stock water pump attached thats for sure dead soon as well as not having good water circulation because of some serious cavitation created by the impeller spinning so fast.

bearings i think they will be fine but there is no more room for more power from a M45 power does taper off very fast on turbo's ans superchargers once you go past their efficiency

the other big problem is the amount of heat generated by compressing the air i hope he has a good intercooler on there like a air to water or something massive.

i think a good tune with what he has will bring him to 300 and he will need bigger than 400cc injectors too. 550 or 600 may do the trick.

jeez just saw the +2% crank......

and yes you are right! make the SC pulley Bigger add more fuel and a TUNE!

Thx for the reply mate. He is currently looking into getting a custom intercooler as to my knowledge the only other option proven to be better than stock is the GP one and its not that much bigger anywayz. What is the air to water?

I also suggested the sprintec S/C for getting over 300hp but thats not the cheapest mod on the option list. Anything else besides ECU and injectors?

Also he loses traction easily at the front wheels getting on the gas and coming out of corners. Seems like a lot of wasted power which is not getting down to the road. Is this due to the 23% pulley or does any mini with 250+ hp behave in this way?

its a intercooler that is cooled by water, but the catch is it has a pump and radiator in a remote location.

sprintex it the same as the stock just different rotors and a bit more reliable. stop driving the car before it blows up he needs a tune. will probably need stronger internals as well.

any car will behave like that with 250 at the wheels. he needs a Limited slip differential to help get power to the ground with both wheels, and some wide stickier tires. other wise my car does the same and im probably making like 170 at the wheels

I bet that he isnt even close to 250whp. The heat thst is being generated is just wasting away at any gains.

He is killing his engine and superchager.

Im sitting at 255 whp on a 14% pulley. However, my car is set up right and doesnt have stupid high AIT...

That car is now poop. An intercooler will not help. At least get meth injection, but most of his stuff is cooked.

The guy I mentioned above has just gone up to 25% pulley and 550cc injectors and a larger I/C. Still only running a canned JCW tune.

Still wondering why his car is showing no obvious signs of stress??

Anyone want to take bets how many more months he can get out of his engine or I/C?

have him just run the SC off its main shaft. thatll really spin that B up! haha.
where does one even get a 23% pulley?! im sure he sees huge boost from 1k and up, but after 4k rpm, im willing to bet the air is so hot its not even doing anything after that.

ive seen with torque, the Air intake temps go from 60 deg (really cold out) all the way up to 140! just from a pull from first through second! so, thats double the heat in 5 secs or so... and i can feel the power just drop!

ill give him a few more weeks before everything is toast...

+1 for the injectors.

Also, airtec makes a really great intercooler. I was thinking of getting the GP...then the GRS...then airtec because of efficiency. It looks cooler and keeps your car cooler! And if he wants to go over 300 hp, a Sprintex or TVS (eaton) supercharger is required. The Sprintex is a bolt on and adds about 40 HP.

Adding an Aquamist Meth Injection system will clean up the fuel burn adding more HP. It effectively raised the octane rating of the fuel.
