Drivetrain Burger Motorsports (BMS) Tune(s)

Okay, I think I'll continue to do it. I usually drive pretty conservatively the last minute or two before getting to my destination to aid in turbo cool down, and such. Thanks for the replies! I also usually do the phone check as well. People that ride with me usually just jump out of the car, and look at me like come on you're wasting time, but I've got most of my usual passengers trained to know i let the car cool down for a bit.

Probably not the best suggestion until next summer depending on where you live, but you can blast the AC during the last 5 minutes of your drive to get the water temps back down to 90-95C to cool everything down before shutdown. I do this and still hear the aux water pump whirring away after I park but the fan no longer comes on.

Why would this not be a good suggestion? The car is still going to be hot even if it's cold outside, I would think letting it idle down for a minute would just let the oil continue to circulate while the turbo cools off for a bit.

I have used toluene as a booster in my R56 JCW racecar for several years. Also have used mmt, and recently have been trying 20% E85. I have also run 102 RON racefuel.
I run toluene at 15% by volume, but you can run up to 20%. This gives a strong anti detonation benefit. Also the burn is slightly slower. The antiknock effect is similar to running a percentage of E85. The cooling effect is not as pronounced as E85.
Running 15% toluene (or 20% E85) allows a safety margin with a stock tune under extreme conditions eg racing under prolonged high load, high boost high temp conditions. If you wish it will allow you to crank up the boost a little higher.
I would use toluene or E85, whichever is easier to get your hands on in your local area.

I'm sure this has already been covered, but I got lazy and was hoping for a quick answer:
I just threw a CEL light (according to the manual it corresponds to an emissions error or what not), after having the JB+ in for about 150-200 miles. I'm still waiting for my CAN tool (non-BMS) to show up in the mail as I left it at my exe's house, so I haven't cleared it or pulled the code yet. Anyway, I'm assuming this is due to the JB+ as all other things are equal. Am I correct in my thinking, or should I be on the hunt for something else? I have no other modifications on the car, so it's all stock minus the aforementioned.
Also, I'm going to have it read and cleared today I just wanted a lazy mans answer lol.

one possible way to tell is take the JB+ off, clear the code, and see if it comes back. also, if you get a chance, open up the JB+ and see if it's a green or brown circuit board inside. if it's brown, drop terry a line. i highly doubt it'll be brown, but you never know. nothing to be alarmed about, but during beta testing, the brown circuit boards threw error code 277A.

At one time "JB" did stand for juice box (I saw this on the BMW forums a while back). I'm not sure if it still does.
