Drivetrain Leaking expansion tank... not a problem.
Rather than drive 60 miles to the dealership, I decided to use some parts I had laying around the garage... a Mr. Gasket 1 quart universal overflow tank from Summit Racing and some aluminum bar stock. Add in a bench vise for bending metal, some misc parts from Ace Hardware, and no more leaky.

No modification was required for the hoses, they had enough length to work. I did upgrade to screw type clamps, as the stock ones are chintzy. Definitely made the engine compartment look more functional.

2cool, did you mean to say Morroso? I searched like crazy on Summit and came up with this 1.5 quart version:

This looks almost identical but not quite like yours.
Nothing by Mr. Gasket remotely looks like the one you showed. Do you have a part number?
BTW, did you get the stamped or billet filler neck?
Thanks for the great post.

Wow, nice job cool. I really wanted to do that but I bought a replacement tank from the dealer for $16 (Cheap Andy clued me in). Maybe I can paint it silver and put some faux fillets on it so it looks as nice as yours.
Likely I would have just done the dealer replacement, but I actually had this tank gathering dust on the shelf in the garage. It was purchased for my '02 Lightning, and I never got around to installing it before trading for the '03 Evo. So no, it wouldn't be an economical swap for everyone, but yes, it is pretty cool looking under the hood now...
