Since you're getting into the car that much look into replacing the water pump (on the SC), thermostat and housing (under the air box), radiator houses, check your low speed fan resistor, crankcase o-ring and oil pan gasket (if leaking or seeping). You're adding like $100-200 in extra parts but won't have to take the damn thing apart again.

Check the fan, with the extra heat the SC pulley will create make sure the car is running in top form. I think a lot of Minis are driving around with a bad resistor which causes the car to run a bit hotter than intended (high speed fan kicks at 112* because the low speed at 105* is busted).

The Bently uses a generic puller once the SC is off the car to get it off, you may destroy the pulley. Cool project though! Keep us posted on your progress!

My questions is why would you replace the oil in the Super Charger? I thought they were suppose to be good for like 100k or life...I removed the pulley with the tool, but not with the bar (you don't need that). The removal of the pulley is not that complex that it's a good idea to remove the SC also.

The rear SC waterpump side gear are known to run dry. When this happens you will need a new SC or to have yours rebuilt if possible.
This is what happens when you don't

Eaton recommendation to change every 25,000 miles, as does GM with there OEM supercharged cars. They use the same M45 supercharger on some of their cars.
If the oil was changed it would this extend the life of the Super charger.

Cold Air Intake installed last Saturday night! Everyone said the whine would get louder, and I figured it might just a little, boy did I underestimate that!!!!!!! When you really put the pedal down you hear it so good. Especially going from 1st into 2nd.

It is intoxicating. Now try to keep your foot out of it. LOL. I bet your face hurts more now from constantly smiling.

If you think it's hard eating just one potato chip? You've never tried to keep your foot of the pedal after this mod!(definitely sums up how I feel about it)

Update: After the CAI went in, the next weekend I changed the oil in my supercharger, I ended up getting a pulley removal tool just to be safe, and put on my new alta 17% reduction. Then I put in my Catback system. Right now, it's making a symphony of noises, the hissing of the intake drinking in air, the whine of the supercharger is ever so loud, and the low rumble of the exhaust combined with the burble when letting off the throttle. Music to my ears, and a thrill to the rest of my senses. I still have the Unichip ECU flash to install, I've seen a lot of people hate on them here, anyone know why?
