Drivetrain UUC short shift
just spoke with Rob at UUC and he said they were just finishing up their design and are getting ready for production in about 2 weeks. Will be a whole replacement unit (like Alta/B&M) not just a rod extension. Look forward to it.
Cool, I couldn't take the wait any longer and went w/B&M. I've always liked the UUC short shifters on my old BMWs, though. Superior products for sure.
Now I just have to wait and see the reviews on their MINI suspension stuff...

Yea, right.  That is what they have been saying about their exhaust since the middle of December. 2 WEEKS!!! HAHAHAHA! It would be nice but don't hold your breath. Look at their big brake kit that was due out in the middle of January. I think that this is sounding like the GIAC chip.

that's what i was thinking too jdgross, but they also came out with a flywheel, stage II sprung hub clutch kit, sway bar, and spring set unbeknownst to any of us here on NAM. I'm pretty patient guy and with all the new stuff coming out for these wonderful little cars i will have no problem waiting for what i believe will be better made and engineered products.
I agree with you discodan about the quality of their products. I just couldn't wait any longer for their exhaust but I was able to buy Randy Webb's UUC evaluation exhaust. So I got the best of both worlds I got the UUC exhaust for a Borla price!
As far as the other stuff, he already had the light flywheel. It was not a big deal to include a matching spring hub clutch and offer it as a package.

Holdenontoit, UUC Motorwerks is a vendor that makes alot of stuff for BMW's and Audi's. They started to bring out stuff for the MINI and their products are top notch in quality, fit and finish. The only problem with them is that they cannot keep products in stock and will not give realistic ship dates.
They have been out of their exhaust for the MINI since November with no end in sight for when they will be shipping again. They have been promising a big brake kit for the MINI that uses corvette C-5 brake pads and a 12.2" rotor that will fit under stock 17" wheels without spacers since January.
Not a good way to do business IMHO
