I'd like to start a poll and see what kinda max boost reading you're getting on your gauge. Please note the mods you have including pulley % if any. If you have the Alta TMIC please note that too Thanks

Ryephile is seeing 19+ with a 15% pulley. Does that sound right? I'm seeing around 15 with the same pulley, the Alta TMIC, Alta CAI, Milltek header/Borla Race cat-back.

Tomorrow, I'm going to remount my stock IC and see what kind of reading I get.

My boost gauge corresponds with the logs I've done using the TMAP sensor in the intake manifold:

19% pulley, only 16 psi at redline. The 15% peaked at just under 15 psi. Not sure why there is such a range for these cars. Hope that the ported blower will make up some of the difference for me.

Anyone else with 15% or a stock pulley?

Andy, do you have dyno results with both 15 and 19?

Today I got 16lbs after I tightened the bellow. Keep in mind that I have the Alta's larger TMIC with my 15% pulley so I expected a couple of pounds of loss. Anyone else have more input?

15% pulley, stock intercooler, BMP gauge kit - 15+ lbs boost. ...Can't tell exactly as I've got the needle burried. Time for a boost gauge with a higher limit.

What's the MCS stock's baseline for max boost at redline (6,500 rpm)?

This is great guys Keep it coming.

I wonder if Andy, Ryan, or any of you wiz guys could figure out how much the pressure would change according to elevation?

BMP Intake with firewall swiss cheese modification, Magnaflow cat back exhaust, Cooler plugs, 15% pulley - I'm getting 15-16 lbs of boost at redline on an Autometer mechanical gauge.

Altitude effect would look like this. Let's say we have a 15% pulley producing 15 psi at 6500 rpm on a MCS at sea level.

0000 ft 15.0 psi
1000 ft 14.5 psi
2000 ft 13.9 psi
3000 ft 13.4 psi
4000 ft 13.0 psi
5000 ft 12.5 psi
6000 ft 12.0 psi
7000 ft 11.6 psi

BTW, I'm at about 400 ft elevation.

Thanks Andy. I'm at around 800 ft. so 16 pounds sounds pretty decent.

What do you think about Ryan's 19+ reading? He did pull a 178 whp vs. my 193. We both have the same mods exept he doesn't have the Miltek header and is using Miltek exhaust versus my Borla Race.
Still trying to figure out where the extra 15 ponies came from...can't be all from the header and dyno wouldn't account for my Alta TMIC.

Would like to see what percentage gains you've gotten from the 19% vs. 15%.

I get 16 lbs at near redline, (too busy to see at redline, shifting). 15% pulley, intake, denso plugs and stock exhaust/ECU. Three weeks till I get the Unichip. I am still undecided on changing the exhaust as this is my daily driver/commuter car.

If it's noise you're concerned about, consider the Miltek or Borla Street. The Street is the quieter of the two.

I posted a graph of boost comparing 15% and 19% on my car.

Not sure why there is some variability between different people's numbers. Boost gauge difference (overshoot can cause misleadingly high readings), differences in backpressure, etc.

After driving a few hundred miles at high speed, I wholeheartedly recommend the one-ball for relatively quiet cruising.

I have a 15% pulley/Evotech ECU upgrade/Denso Iridium plugs/61mm TB/Piper Cross Viper CAI/etc., and am getting 15+ psi (Autometer gauge) at 7200 rpm. I may get the 20 psi gauge, even though my maximum boost is supposed to be around 15 psi.

What altitude are you at?
