Madness CAI

I have seen a lot of info about DDM, Dinan and ALTA CAI, but not much about the Madness. Is anyone out there using one of these? All the prices seem to be the same for them all, but the Madness seems to be the easiest to install and has a modified cowl plate for extra air. I drive on the highway a lot, 100 miles everyday round trip for work, and I dont want a super annoying scream, but a good scream when I push it would be nice

You wont hear a scream while cruising due to the BPV...the supercharger only whines when its boosting. I cant comment on any CAI's because my R53 had the alta CAI when I bought it so thats all I know.

I have it on my 05 and a Alta on my 02. Can't really tell much difference....maybe a slight bit more than the Alta.

I had it on my 2003 and liked it a lot. The heat shield and modified cowl work well together to keep intake temps down.

I really miss that supercharger whine. The turbo sound is cool too, but I love the whine of a supercharger.

I've had it on my car since '08, sounds pretty good. I've never had another intake on there other than stock so can't really compare. Madness has been one of the original startups since the MINI came out in the US but yeah they keep a pretty low profile compared to Alta, DDM, etc as far as I can tell because you barely hear about them on here. I have a whole bunch of Madness stuff on my car, check my signature lol
