I looked and did a search and may have missed it, but has anyone every done dyno testing comparing the actual HP/torque gain of CAI by different manufacturers?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a MCS and want to have all the goodies here when it arrives so I can put them on asap.

Thanks!

T.

Take all of those claims with a big chunk of salt. Due to the nature of intakes, dyno results are difficult to relate to real-world driving. Also, Randy's numbers are historically pretty optimistic.

I agree with andy. expect only a minor difference in throttle response and a nice whine from your supercharger. I have Madness and don't really have any regrets. Maybe I would get Alta if I did it again.

I noticed a difference when installing mine and was always pleased with it's performance and sound. However, I've noticed a bigger difference since removing it. My car has been more sluggish, especially ar WOT and it appears that I might have the acquired the infamous yo-yo now. I've only done 400-500 miles since removing, so I'm hoping maybe the ECU hasn't adjusted. All in all, I would never own an MCS again without a CAI. Of course I have no numbers to back it up, just my uncalibrated butt dynometer.
