Drivetrain Random fuel injector / supply thoughts
Random fuel injector / supply thoughts
I was helping a friend understand fuel injection and had a few random questions / thought on out system that i have never seen asked.
Has anyone tried an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? there are many available that fit in the Bosch fpr unless there is something different about ours.
Wouldn't it be nice to run a fuel pressure at ~3bar and get off the shelf ev14 ~380cc injectors and harness adapters? or just get a 3bar fpr for cheap for that mater.
I guess you could up the fuel pressure on the stock injectors to get jcw flow but that may be pushing it.
Just a few random thought. i may look into it more for curiosity sake. Any thoughts would be appreciated

My intention was never to reinvent the wheel.
The dinan kit in no longer available and it was more expensive then the the jcw injectors.
Upping the fuel pressure of the stock to gain jcw flow would be the same as putting jcw injectors without a flash, control wise.
It was more of an analogy. i remember reading somewhere that the fuel system can barely keep up with the pressure difference of 3.5bar on 17psi boost. With that it wouldn't keep up with 4.13 bar for the 350cc to 380cc. Probably why dinan used a new fuel pump, but i also remember hearing that there was something wrong with their shop car when they developed the kit.
