Drivetrain type s intake system swap?
well, it might work, but not well. The intake runners on the MCS intake manifold are way too short for proper naturally aspirated tuning.
NOT "type S" - that's JDM lingo
Say: "Cooper S" - that's MINI lingo

You should also consider that the Cooper's plastic intake will have smoother surfaces for the runners than the S's metal runners, which usually feel like sand paper. I'd recommend finding a larger TB or boring out your stock TB.
I remember some folks were talking about this same issue on a different car (Neon) and most people recommended the same thing, saying the plastic manifold allows smoother air flow and to keep it.

I fall you want to do is use the S throttle body, at the least, you would need an adapter plate, as the bolt pattern is larger for the S.
