Wait a minute... I thought that there is not so much of a performance gain with a better DP/exhaust without a corresponding tune which in turn can hide the CEL. Am I wrong here, Way? Anybody? Beuller?

 

Hmmmm. Is this the same kind of thing as the Akrapovic Delete-R check engine light deleter?
Either way, I might be in for purchase.

 

Does this remove the code or simply stop the CEL from illuminating? I always thought they were one in the same, but the description of the "Akrapovic Delete-R" from their website leads me to believe it only turns off the light, but does not resolve the code. Wondering if this fix is different (or if you are referring to the "Akrapovic Delete-R," perhaps I misread their description of what that unit does).

Obviously, the difference is crucial for anyone needing to pass OBDII testing as part of emissions laws.
