Check Engine Light From Downpipe Install Fix

Way Motor Works has a new fix for the P0420 Fault caused by installing an aftermarket Downpipe on your Turbo MINI. We are looking for some testers of this simple plug in circuit. This is NOT an ECU Tune. It is a small circut that plugs in under the dash with no cutting of wires. We are looking for some MINI owners that have the Check engine light for P0420 that are wanting it off and willing to install the circuit and report back to us. This is not free as you will have to buy the circuit, but if it doesn't work we will give you 100% refund on it. The Kit will be $289 with Free ship. Please email us at info@waymotorworks.com if you would like to be one of the first to get one.

Damn you, Way!!! Your going to find a way to make me spend more money!

:grin::grin::grin:

Wait a minute... I thought that there is not so much of a performance gain with a better DP/exhaust without a corresponding tune which in turn can hide the CEL. Am I wrong here, Way? Anybody? Beuller?

Hmmmm. Is this the same kind of thing as the Akrapovic Delete-R check engine light deleter?
Either way, I might be in for purchase.

Does this remove the code or simply stop the CEL from illuminating? I always thought they were one in the same, but the description of the "Akrapovic Delete-R" from their website leads me to believe it only turns off the light, but does not resolve the code. Wondering if this fix is different (or if you are referring to the "Akrapovic Delete-R," perhaps I misread their description of what that unit does).

Obviously, the difference is crucial for anyone needing to pass OBDII testing as part of emissions laws.
