Need Clutch kit info
So I have an 02 mini S, which is 100% stock I need to put a new clutch in right away. I am wondering what is the difference between the oem and a stage 1 clutch kit. Is the performance much better? I do drive it pretty hard some times, I will every now and then drop it into first at about 3,000 rpm and I do power downshift offten. Is it worth the extra money for a stage 1? Also does anybody know where I can get a stage one kit in ventura, CA within a couple days? I dont think I have much left with the oem clutch its slipping alot today. I was looking at the Spec stage 1 kit.
Also does anybody know a link for doing the clutch myself I cant afford for a shop to do it right now. I have done clutches on my old jeep many times but I am sure this is very different than my old CJ5

, that is killer on the trans let alone the clutch, there is no need to ever do that you are just asking to break something. As you will find the OEM clutch is the most reliable, aftermarket clutches will be harder and lock up faster, but don't last long.
