whats that hidin behind that cat!

I just got my oil lines from detroit tuned today gonna installed took five hours like I thought. Glad I got both lines from them turns out ya need um. The old lines one of which was leaking on the turbo had to be replaced and because its behind the other. The other had to be removed also. So might as well replace with a new one with good seals. Make sure you wipe area with alcohol that crush washer seals go to. And make sure ya have a good torque wrench for the job.
Even if it leaks again hope it does not. At least I know there is not cooked up oil in the supply line hence impeding return to the engine and direct path to the timing chain.
If anyone has questions about this procedure I am happy to answer I had all the tools to do the job 17mm,13mm,10mm,10mm and 10mm boxed end,8mm,clip remover, sensor socket, needle nose long reach,.

What is the published torque value for the banjo bolts? I know from experience there are always very specific values for them and it doesn't help they're so fragile. Just curious if you got the official value from the Bentley manual or the dealer.

Torque spec for the banjos is 22ft pounds for the replacement part. Return line is 9ft pounds. As stated by detroit tuned. Same spec as givin in the Mini work repair book. One more thing about the lines from Detroit tuned is that they got good replacements taylored fit without the closer to kinks like the stock ones that I had. Does not really give any hp improvement but gave me a chance to have peace of mind before it was to late. and with a nice smooth angle line it just feels better. One less thing.
