I just got a MCS, and i have a few questions, sorry to drag it out, i did a search but couldn't find exactly the information i was looking for (or i just didn't look hard enough).

1) What are the odds (realisticly) that if i do get the 15% pulley thingy (don't know a lot about cars) that my engine (or whatever else) would break down and i'd be screwed because of warranty (assuming i can't just switch it out to stock and nobody would notice)

2) How much could i find a good 15% pulley and how much would install be (unless its easy enough to do it with my dad, he's a handyman)

3) Everyone is talking about v36 and stuff like that, i'm guessing thats software versions, how do i find out what i have (stock 04 mcs)

4) If i do get the 15%, what other mods would be NECESSARY for the car to run properly (properly means faster than stock but not damaging the engine or anythign else), and what other mods would be SUGGESTED for the car to run optimally (i.e. intake/exhaust to work together with the pulley to let the car "breathe" better)

5) I have the HK system, but i don't have the speed increasing volume thing, am i supposed to, or does it only come with the standard audio system (makes no sense to me).

6) I know i can take off anything that's bolt-on if i'm going to take it into the dealer, but exhaust would be difficult (assuming), regardless, if i need to get some sort of ecu upgrade or whatknot, the dealer would definately find out and void my warranty wouldn't they?

7) Anyone in california (the valley) and wouldn't mind helping me put on the honeycomb grill (not the bonnet, i hear that's easy, the middle grill)

Sorry i'm adding so many questions at once, but mainly its performance related so i put it here. Thanks in advance...

It's 4:40 am, and i'm up reading aobut my new mini, i'm obsessed

Your warranty is toast! 15% no more unreliable than stock as far as we can tell.

Parts and install - $400-650. With proper research not too hard a job.

You probably have v36 If car is running well don't change it.

Nothing else is necessary. Your desires and pocketbook rule.

Don't know! Replaced entire stereo. Stock is not great.

Depends on your dealer. Ask them. Exhaust and intake may not matter. Pulley will.

Sorry other coast. If dad can't help you with the grill forget about the pulley. (:

No, you are young and excited. Don't worry, it will pass.

And a very merry welcome to NAM!

Actually on the warranty on the supercharger would be "toast". There's no way the dealership could legally say that they won't warranty the rest of the car.

Will you come all the way from AZ and represent me (pro bono of course) in my warranty claim?

The answer to your HK question is NO, it does not have the speed control wolume. they didn't put that on the HK radio.

The burden of proof is on the dealership. Go out and find a qualified attorney.

What kind of pulley should i get? and should i get intake before or after? and what kind of intake?

yet again, a lot of questions... but i just want to do it right... i hear it's better to get the intake first, because then i'll notice it a bit, then i'll notice the pulley too... but if i get the pulley i will notice it, and when i add intake it won't be noticeable (aside from noise).

The only 2 kinds i know of are alta and helix, so which is better for the money?

and about the unreliability...what about the 19%, if that'll make it faster for a little more money, why not get that over the 15%? What's the downside, if any, to the 19 over the 15 (cause why wouldn't everyone get that)?

and is there anyway to set up auto-email notification when replies are made? didnt' find it in the account page
