If you open the bonet(hood), and you see a big radiator sitting on top of the motor, then it is supercharged.

yep, you have a supercharger.
There are a great amount of mods that can be done depending on how much money you want to spend. You could change your pull to increase boost, get larger injectors, big valve head, bigger supercharger, Meth injection kit, or even a full out stroker motor, coilovers, sway bar, better brakes
Some of those upgrades need a new ecu tune.
Check out this forum for some great ideas

i would just install a 17% pull upgrade and intake and exhaust.
Contact Eric at www.helix13.com or Way at www.waymotorworks.com
They are both very respected vendors and carry all the parts you could want.

You have an R52. The R57 came out in '09. One big easily identifiable change is the lower sitting automatically extended roll bars. Another gimmick is the "Open-ometer" that is supposed to tell R57 folk if they've been driving with their tops down. I've discovered that by looking up once in a while, I can actually tell for myself.

Welcome to the topless motoring club.

If you haven't already I would strongly suggest acquiring a wind deflector. You will be extremely glad you did. You can find them used on ebay at a pretty good price once in a while. OEM is pretty darn expensive. Just make sure it's for a R52 because the one for the R57 won't fit.

IMO, the "best" way to do a CAI is to:

1. get a decent intake hose (Samco / Alta )(Samco's will be cheaper, and are the same as the altas i think)
2. Leave the Stock Airbox, and get an Amsoil Nano-Filter (or similar high flow filter)
3. If you dont mind some "hands on", cut a larger hole in the back of your stock airbox to emulate the JCW box.

Because, what is really the sense in spending another 100$ on what is basically another plastic box? or even worse, Metal?!

As for exhaust,
I have a JCW car, but others seem to like the "one ball" mod, where you basically "chop" off the other side of your exhaust system.

Also, yes, get a Pulley upgrade! %17 is a lot, it may give you issues... %15 is considered "safe" i think, few issues ive seen reported on that reduction.

PS: if you do a pulley, its a "good idea" to do plugs, wires, coil pack... youll need the extra "juice" to burn off the extra fuel / air your pumping into the engine with the pulley upgrade
