Help needed! Cant find replacement stud

when taking off the oem downpipe to replace it with the riss racing unit, i broke two studs on the bracket where it attaches to the engine.

#4 is where the stud is that attaches to the engine. I cant find it anywhere and the local dealership has no clue. On one end it has a star to screw it in the engine.

for the time being, is it safe to drive the car?

Got a photo of the stud you snapped off?

I saw something at autozone that looked extremely similar to the studs your talking about. Im pretty sure they were labeled as carburetor studs, might wanna check there if you dont find it anywhere else.

This is the stud with nut. On the left side if the stud is the star fitting to screw into the engine.

Oops yeah, I mistook it for the other location. The 2 toward the front are smaller and shorter.

Did you try ordering the stud in the image you originally posted? The one marked 3 in the lower right of the image? The specs are the same from what I measured on a spare block I have.

personally I would just dye the stud... the threads dont look like their in that bad of shape. My only concern would be the situation of the threads inside the block. but your going to need to tap it any way if there messed up. local auto parts store should have the needed tools.

The stud came out of the block without a problem. It's the nut that held the downpipe bracket to the block that was the problem. Spraying the damn thing with pb blaster and clamping it down while trying to unscrew it, it didn't even budge. This one luckily gave way but the other one just snapped. Also two of the three bolts on the top heat shield broke off as well due to rusting. When I get these replacement parts everything will be brushed with anti-seize. might as well take that heat shield off and replace it with an aftermarket one, if anyone has one for sale :-)
