Madness Cold Air Intake on a JCW Vacuum Tube?
I just installed the Madness Cold Air Intake from my old cooper S on my "new" 2005 JCW. What should I do with the vacuum tube that came out of the JCW airbox? Where does it connect?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
So I was driving to Florida yesterday and about 250 miles into the trip the Service Engine Soon light came on. Long story short, I had to cap the open line to close the leak in the vacuum system.
So, if you replace your JCW air box, make sure you close off the line somewhere. It would be easiest to disconnect it at the white coupler and cap there but because I'm an idiot, i ripped that out and had to fish the cap down under the intercooler to cap off the "T" joint near the bypass valve.
After the repair the SES Light went off the next day.
I hope this helps someone...
