Just got the hot and cold side boost tube installed along with the Forge D/V valve. The cold side was a breeze, but the hot side was a bit more difficult.
Fortunately I did not have to remove the front bumper, but it took a bit more time and while I was down there I cleaned some stuff.
Overall, this thing drives so nice. I'm a bit hesitant to do a tune because of the miles on the car.
Sorry for the phone pics but wanted to get something up.
I do feel like the throttle response is improved, just feels better to me. Not so much that I feel a big power increase just improved throttle response which in turn seems a bit quicker acceleration to me.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the throttle response improvement only comes from the Forge diverter valve rather than the tubes, right?
Forge D/V holds boost longer typically was my understanding, so you'd see improved boost, the tubes provide the efficiency gain in the improved air flow i.e. throttle response.
I have both of these installed also and was able to install with out having to take the bumper off. I found the cold side to be more of a challenge due to the stock elbow part being stuck to the throttle body.
Was it worth the price? Glad to see my turbo looks like yours. :-)
I purchased them from another NAM member, so for me it was totally worth it. At full price I would not have been able to justify it, that's just me though.
i got mine on sale but would have been mad if i had paid full price for it. it made the turbo hiss a bit more but that was it. no other gains felt at all.
