The OEM's are simply hard to beat; why spend why more on an electrical component then that of the affordable (and I do mean it) OEM ones?
Plus, I'd be diagnosis an electrical misfire with a multimeter and data-log testing before dropping $600 on non-refundable parts.

How are you determining that your current coils are shot?

well i sent it over to my trusty mechanic for installation on spark plugs and he told me the misfire was coming from the coil not the spark plugs.

If true, you can swap the coil to as different cylinder.
If the misfire moves to the swapped cylinder, you know the ignition coil is faulty.
Go with the OEM units; they're hard to beat.

Great idea !! but just in case it does turn out that the coil is faulty , will OEM be fine when the car is fully modded ? with silver plugs ?

Beware that some of us used the silver plugs and had problems with misfires and rough idle as well.
In my case the plug itself induced the misfires and not the coil. Returned to the stock NGK Platinum and had no problem ever since.

Where did you get your plugs from?

If you can get those get them. Those are legit.

Those these are not on the MINI they show that they will provide better ignition over stock. So it boils down to if you want to spend an extra $320
over what you would spend for stock.
