Drivetrain Crankshaft Pulley problems
Crankshaft Pulley problems
Hey guys,
So i have been looking the past couple days on the best way to remove the crank pulley. Now this is my situation, I have a jaw puller which i used at first
it tore the outer part of the pulley off. Went and rented the pulley puller (three bolts) and proceeded to take it off but with no avail.
Now I used the jaw puller and the pulley moved outwards about an inch and will not go any further. Is there any tricks of the trade or am I doing something stupidly wrong but for some reason the pulley puller didn't work at all I tried for hours.

If I recall correctly, I had to have a longer bolt to thread into the crankshaft, as you do not want to damage the threads in the crankshaft, and 3 longer bolts for the puller to the damper. The 3 jaw puller is the wrong tool for the job.
