So I currently own a 05 r53 and I'm planing on doing a 15% supercharger pulley than a custom exhaust. But wear my problem is I don't know what kind of tune to do.
A remote tune is when you are at a local dyno, the tuner is near a computer, and so are you. Once scheduled, you email the results and the tuner emails a new tune. After 3 or 4 runs, you are tuned.
Helix will do that for you. You just missed a tune day a few months back at Helix. There will be more over time.
A ECU tune is a good idea but not required for your mods. Your car will run well with a pulley and exhaust with the stock ECU. You might want to spend the $500 in other mods such as suspension.
Not to be contrary, but while the car will run fine without a tune, the tune will be your best bang for the buck mod powerwise in my opinion. It is the drive ability factor, where the power is, how the pedal feels. Before the tune 6th gear was useless for passing. It felt like it was only good for downhill at 65. Now I almost never downshift once in 6th. There is so much more that changes beside peak power.
Add a swaybar, the best suspension mod bang for the buck, non runflats and the rest is baby steps for a road only car.

If anyone has any suggestions please reply..
I was reading or searching this issue on-line sometime ago and I learned that to start with the exhaust system, then suspension and then, if you so desire, the engine...
Have RMW do your tune. He'll be in Rochester NY in the spring.
Helix in Philly always has RMW in each year also. Call Erik
Since the mods your talking about won't "require" a tune in my opinion either be patient and wait for this or have Helix do it right away, that being said if it were me I would wait, get yourself the swaybar for now and do your tune in the spring, besides, how hard are you really going to run the car in NJ in the winter.
You'd be better off with a remote tune for the same price or less.
True, but it wouldn't be the same price or less. If it's done remotely (with a flash tuner, it ends up being about double the GIAC's $325).

I think the rmw flash tuners 'marry' to your car, and are not transferable. If you've never connected to your car it would still be good, though. Check with rmw.
