I can't resist the urge to swap the pulley any longer!

Anyone have recommendations for a good shop to buy and install a pulley in the Boston area? Also, any advice on what brand of pulley to buy?

Thanks.

The techs at MINI Peabody have done a number of them - contact Gary.

There is also Turner Motorsport

Lee Malo has a company called Advanced Technologies in Manchester, MA. He is a factory-trained MINI tech who would be a good resource in your neck of the woods. Here's his info:

I will have to second the peabody mini option, those guys are awesome and have been doing pulley installs for quite a while.

I didn't know that MINIPeabody would do pulley installs. Does having them do it prevent the voiding of the warranty? What other mods will they do?

What pulleys will they do--15%, 17%, 19%? What brands?

As Gary at Peabody will readily state, he doesn't think that the less-aggressive pulley modifications will cause engine/supercharger failure (and apparently data to-date would prove him correct). Nevertheless, the engine mods that Peabody does are done with full customer knowledge that IF they result in failures that BMW does not warranty, the customer is on their own. This seems (to me at least) like a pretty reasonable, and fair, position....and I guess it's the position that all fully-informed MINI owners who choose to modify their cars must take.

In addition to the pulley, Mini of Peabody does exhausts, suspensions, intakes, etc. Pretty much anything you want they have and will do for you. Read juns response also regarding their policy regarding such mods. Great people!! Call and ask to talk with Dave Forte in service.
