Engine bay question for OCC

Ok, I know there as been a LOT of threads about catch cans, but I have read a lot and did not found anything like what I have.

I have a 2008 mcs. I looked on forums and realoem.com, I never found if I have 1 or 2 ''oil pipes'' (excuse my bad english).

Here is some pics

This is the engine bay. I know that the pipe on the right (driver side) going to the turbo intake is one place qhere I have to put an OCC.

Here is the second tubing that worries me. I pretty sure that even if it is written fuel line, it is not. And it splits in four to go in each intake ''section'' (see third pic).

Here is where it connects on the intake

Can it be a little hose to bring oil vapors in the intake. I don't think I have the usual passenger side tube that I usually see on forums. Anybody got the same setting ?

The ultime goal is to install one or two OCC, and do a seafoam treatment

Thanks a lot guys

P.O.

Did you buy this vehicle used at all?
Because you're right; that passenger side (right side of engine) PCV hose is NOT the OEM unit...
It looks like it's been modified before to distribute gases to different parts of the intake manifold.

WTF I've never seen that before!? Maybe it's just because you're from Canada?

I got it used, but from a mini dealer. It's strange, because the instalation looks like it as been done by the dealer or a very good mecano, but it's a damn fuel line....... What's good is that it may be even easier to put a oil catch can on that hose.

For the ones used to seafoam, buy looking where it connects in the intake, can I use this hose to do it ?!?

Thanks a lot guys

But an OCC is connected to the driver side PCV port, and run into the turbo-inlet pipe.
The passenger side PCV port is blocked or plugged so only vapors from the crankcase only escape through the open driver side port.

Yes, that still pulsl vacuum when the car is idling or not boosting.

So I block the passenger line and keep it for seafom treatments, and I install my oil catch can on the driver side.

I've seen somewhere ''double'' catch cans, in fact it's two independant cans where you connect each line. Is there any advantage to have this setting ?

Correct.

No, because they don't provide 'one-way' valves to close off the line when vacuum or boost conditions exist.
It actually worsens the condition; the proper way is to block the passenger side and suck only from the driver port 100%.

That multi hose intake is a MINI part. They used that because they sometimes had a problem with the throttle body icing up, on the ones with a single PCV hose on the left side of the engine compartment. On the 2011 MINIs, they incorporated those PCV lines into the head and head cover.

Fuel line is the correct hose to use as it is resistant to oil as well as fuel.

So, Mine it's looking almost like your's PO(desiletspo);

So, if I unterstand correctly, we must instal the OCC alike Erik instaled his one on the left side pvc plug to the OCC then to the turbo inlet and plug(Block) the passenger side pvc plug.

Thank's a lot!

BTW desiletspo, is't allready done on your now???? How it worth?
