Yes, use the stock one instead of that soft tubing/ I've contacted DDM and was told they will look into it.. we'll see what happens..
Just remove the stock piping before you install the DDM intake and reinstall it after everything is in place and tightened down. It will fit with no issues.

Agreed, the line provided leaves something to be desired. However it is possible to re-use the factory rigid line. The factory hose coupler can be rotated to attach to the vacuum pump fitting after it is rotated per the RIS installation instructions. You can also remold the rigid line by utilizing a heat gun. Took very little in the way of bending to get it to fit. Be careful applying heat and work a little at a time. Too much bending while heating the line will link it.

I'm not really sure how else it could be rotated to make things 100% secure. I definitely had play in mine...it wasn't sturdy enough to ease my initial worry.

i don't know you guys ever noticed the DDM manual said using the soft pipe need to 90 degree faced the passenger side, comparing to the stock hard pipe.
and after i did so, realized that cannot use the stock screw anymore, now the soft piple just simply attached to the hole... is it safe? really worried.

I said earlier in this thread I was going to sell mine and get a carbon fiber hood. After reading countless threads on fitment from different companies I'm going to opt for keeping my stock hood and just run a carbon fiber hood scoop. Sorry for the couple people that were interested in it through PM's and the like. The only CON I will say about this intake is that it's a pain in the *** to get the filter out and clean it.

I only have one issue with the RIS intake. The scoop which acts as a great heat shield for your hood scoop will become heat soaked from the turbo in stop and go traffic. In heavy traffic I've seen IAT's climb 19 degrees above ambient even with a Forge FMIC. Have some 1/4" Dynaliner on order to install on the scoop and plan on wrapping the turbo hot side and DP with DEI Titanium wrap when I get my catless DP. That should solve that little issue.
