I've heard conflicting opinions on this. Some say without bigger throttle body, the hose is useless; whereas other feels that in order to maximize its potential is with the hose. What do you think?

I have the Alta w/hose. It's not necessary to have the hose and it probably doesn't add much in performance. I would buy it if you think it's worth the added engine dress up or if you plan to significantly do performance mods to the engine later on.

I have the Alta without the hose and you can feel the difference in power. The reason I did not get the hose is that Randy felt it made little difference unless you had the larger throttle body.

That's the impression I have, but Randy also said that improved cylinder head will also benefit from the hose. How much more air does the hose provide? What's the difference in the diameter?

Looks cool, some people say that you may get less air turbulence with it's smooth interior walls thus leading to a fraction of performance. Which adds up to the surface of snake oil. IMO.

I got the hose, but I plan on a throttle body once the Yo-Yo issue is resolved or rephixed.

Pain in the *** to install b/c you gotta do some snipping here and there to make it fit. On top of that, the fitting for the breather is pointing in the wrong direction so you have to sort of shoe-horn it into place. Waste of money IMHO (and I have it).
