air to fuel ratio

so i dont know much about this but since i have had my scangauge ive noticed that while at cruising speed it is running rich?? under 14.7 i mean it fluctuates from 14.3 to sometimes 14.8, but im not sure if this is normal or not... i was under the impression that 14.7 was what it should be at... ive tried to look up more info but im kind of lost... anyone that could explain it in laymen's terms

That range of fluctuation is normal. The ECU is constantly adjusting AF/R to try and maintain the 14.7 target
