Nashville Tuner

anyone know of a good Middle TN tuner for my R53? My warranty just ended so it's time to get faster. I was thinking of getting the Flash tool and doing an e-tune through Jan at RMW but it will probably be cheaper so have a tuner do it so I can get print outs on a dyno too.

WAY MOTOR WORKS, is in Atlanta but, for a person in car custom tune he is about as close as you are going to get. Is tuning yourself an option? if so check out the ByteTroniK tuning packages, avalible from MYNES, WAY, M7, and others.

Are you looking for cheap or quality? I have to say that your probably aren't going to find someone around TN with that much experience tuning Mini's. Yes, you could drive to Atlanta and have WMW do it. But you have to weigh in fuel costs, possible hotel costs and your time .
vs a RMW remote tune.

All tunes are not created equally. I would HIGHLY recommend you choose someone with extensive knowledge of Mini's

Your more than welcome to come to Atlanta and we'll do a complete custom dyno tune for you.

I'll put in a vote for the short trip down to Atlanta, and even shorter trip back after getting a tune from Waylan. I did it about 2 years ago when I had something else to do that day, but you could easily turn it into a quick vacation day - there's a lot to do in ATL. You can do the aquarium and the Coke Museum and take up a full day, all while your MINI gets faster.

Way did a super job on my car, and has been great with advice when I've done (sometimes stupid) things to my car.

He's a good guy, and unlike other tuners that seem to have cult following, he doesn't go around thumping his chest. And, he's the real deal - cut from BMW school of mechanics, and a life long car guy. He owns and raced his own MINI, so he gets the desire for performance.

No, there's no one here that can tune a MINI. There's a couple of guys that were getting their start in association with Phil Wicks, but Wicks has moved back to North Carolina, and I never heard what happened to that shop. Don't remember the name.

Get a Way Tune, drive it home and enjoy the performance gain, and come out in September to the MINI Challenge, sponsored by Wicks at the Nashville Super Speedway, and let's see what she'll do!

I cant vouch for WAY's tuning, but he has always been there when I need parts FAST! Even in the middle of the night in Iraq, when I had to run across the FOB to get to a phone, he has always done nothing but good for me.

Yep, he goes above and beyond.
