Powerflex gear box and lower engine bushing inserts

Just installed them today. Easy enough install, pretty straight forward stuff.

I hear they take a few hundred miles to break in, so I'm hoping at least some of the vibration in the steering wheel goes away, that's the only vibration that developed, it's is much more noticeable with the AC on. But overall, considering it's really keeping the motor from moving, it's worth it.

The advantage so far is the gears are very predictably engaging, especially first, much less feathering to get moving. and the shifts (driving easy) are very smooth. I'm not sure how it responds to a heavier foot as I wont be beating the car for a couple weeks (autox coming up the 26th). But I expect an even more noticeable change there, as sometimes before them I could feel the gearbox trying to dodge my shift to third.

I don't even notice the NVH any more. Just the more positive feeling when shifting at higher revs.

They also give me a great excuse for the existing creeks and interior noises that bothered me before. I'm sure I can convince myself the cause is really the poly.

I'm saying they're the same, but I'll convince myself and others they're from the poly bushings, so now I have an excuse for my rattlebox

And honestly, I don't have huge rattle problems, and the mounts definitely didn't make them worse or cause more so far

If you don't have them already you should get the powerflex rear Trailing arm bushings. They really stiffen up the rear end and make it more predictable and I haven't noticed any additional NVH from them.

Are you talking about the rear trailing arm bushing inserts? I thought about adding them to my car when I get my shocks installed.

Yeah, thats what i meant. I edited it now.

The install is very easy, the first side took about 45 min the other side about 25. Just remove the plastic wheel liner, remove the trailing arm bolt and clean everything up a bit and insert the bushings and put the bolt back in and presto change'o. The torque for the bolt is around 130ft/lbs so be sure to use a torque wrench. Here is a how-to...https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t-install.html
