Glad to see a new thread! +1 to keeping this one civil. Glad to hear of Pauls success, and sorry to see him go. I do have a log taken up on Squaw Pass, the throttle was open at a full pace through the corners, for about a minute and a half! I will post it up when I get home next week, I am still away doing my army thing right now.

That's excelent news Randy, the more data we can get out, and the more good honest opinions, floating around, the more they will sell. I am glad to see so many people intrested, and willing to invest into the new setup! Seems like some people are changing their minds, form everything that was previously posted to now. I also haven't heard of any problems with any of the kits, excepf my slight install mishap.

Today we worked out a deal to address a minor issue with the most recent sale. The customer has a automatic which was something that the Sprintex setup was not geared for up until now. We are having a part made to address that issue so this should open up a new market for the product. Will keep you updated as best I can .

Does any one know of a Sprintex Mini with real world miles on it? I'm very interested in getting the kit. Should play well with my existing mods. Looks like I need to sell some more of my stereo collection. Just converting part of one hobby into parts for another hobby.

I think you are talking about Mike from Mynes Randy. Not Mike from ABF.

I've got a little over 1000 miles on mine, most of that was done running around gathering data logs, so they are pretty hard miles. It took about 300 miles to break in, and all the seals to seat, boost went from 9.8psi to almost 13psi once broken in. I haven't had any troubles with the system, but am thinking on making an oil cooler setup just for the S/C with a external resivor in a better location for the oil changes. Its not nessicary to assemble such a contraption, but having a quart of cool oil makes better sence to me than having just over 4 ounces that can get pretty warm. Not to mention that you need to change the S/C oil every 12000 miles, and the drain and fill plugs can be hard to get at. I will also be swaping the 70mm pulley for the 64mm soon, so I would like the added protection of more oil.

This is interesting. Would you be able to share any more details on the "issue" and the fix?

The S/C inlet would need to be remade, or modified. The throttlebody is in a different spot due to the size of the auto trans. Other than that everything else shuld fit just as perfectly as the 6spd trans kit.

Well you need to figgure the 2 other cars aren't stock, both running 15% pullies with other mods, my tune isn't complete yet, and it was 90 degrees up there, and heatsoak had already set in. Plus a car at 10'000 feet is not going to be as fast as it would be at sea level, the differance in quarter mile times between Denver and sea level is almost a second worth of correction.

Brian the other DS R53 in the vid actually said the same thing, then I really got on it and pulled away from him like he was standing still later on in the club run. The car is plenty fast now and the more I play with the tune and learn what to do, the faster it gets. last night after my couple tweaks I made to the mapping, I started getting more and more wheelspin out of the Nitto's that are worn down to slick's (1/2 tread) so there is deffenately a lot more in her. The 64mm pulley is going to toast the rest of the tires off.

Nice work. That's the first Mini I've heard that sounds like mine with our old AGS intake. Get ready for a lot of " what the hell is that ? " type questions looks like it pulled strong at that altitude. The exhaust sounded very good , what are the specs on that ?

I cut out the battery box, and did a straight pipe for my second mod.

The whole system cost about $200 to make, its just 2.5" piping into a Borla turbo muffler, and out a Chevy durramax tip. Of course I did heat wrap the entire mid section of pipe.
