Drivetrain rear sway bar
When I got my R55 I spent a lot of time "doing the research". Save yourself some money and get the Alta Bar... same performance less bucks. No matter what anyone tells you, its the best bang for the buck. Might even be a sale right now for 12% off (use coupon code MEM12ORIAL). Check out the Vendor Announcements page for details.
BTW, best first mod you can do. Good Luck

You should always ask for a discount. All they can say is yes or no. If they say no... buy from someone else. Everyone makes MINI rear sway bars. BTW, I have asked for discounts on everything I buy and I usually get 10-20% off. Alta will give 15% on most of their stuff if you ask.
They have gotten a little stingy when it comes to discounts on the AP unit. Thing about the AP is that they have no competition on that product. I'm waiting for a deal under $700. I'll get it at something close to that but it won't be tomorrow, I'm gong to have to wait a bit.
Good luck.

Personally I would purchase the hsport sway bar as I have heard nothing but positive reviews about it.
Also, some sway bars tend to start squeaking overtime because the bar itself does not have a proper channel for the grease to stay in overtime.
From what I have read the hsport bar does an excellent job at retaining the grease and preventing it from squeaking.
When I bought my sway bar a couple of days ago, I decided to pay the extra money and get the hsport bar http://www.waymotorworks.com/h-sport-rear-adjustable-sway-bar-19mm.html

Eibach Sway Bar... 19mm, one piece, not welded ends (welded strutral strength is not as high as a heat treated one piece bar). Also, <$100... You can't beat that.
Only difference (and why its cheaper)? It only is 2 way adjustable instead of 3 like other bars. Does this matter? Not to me, as the 3rd hole "missing" is the hole for the softest 19mm setting. 99% of people use either the middle or tightest hole anyways (i'm on tightest setting). Feels the same as an Alta and HSport bar, as I've driven MINI's hard around corners on both with stock suspension otherwise. Save yourself the 100+ bucks. Theres no negative reviews on this bar either, its just not advertised here so the typical members dont jump on it. Do your research if you don't believe me. I've had it for 20,000 miles and have had no issues. Doesn't squeak either.
If you want to beef it up, get the bushings WMW sells with the zerk fittings... $30. I got my bar for 90 so I was in $120 all set and done. Works perfectly.

I would not get a welded bar or cheapy end links. Seen problems with this junk on the track.
I would get the hsport 19 mm. The 22 mm seems a little too large for my tastes as it can induce oversteer which can be potentially dangerous. This is a case where bigger may not be better.

Alta predictably has sales w/ holidays
If you play w/ their web site (not great security...), you can even see the old ad copy. Figure next one is likely July 4th if not before.

Has anyone else got the Eibach bar? It is a lot cheaper and i know they have been doing springs for everything i like that theirs are only a 1.2" drop, not too much. Thinking about doing them both but i want some feedback first before i pull the trigger, because if i do not buy the Eibach stuff i can get my intercooler faster lol
I got mine off Ebay, i know a lot of people bust on Ebay items but mine was 141.00 shipped to my door, 22mm grey powder coated, SOLID, Adjustable, grease fittings and no welded ends, it came in within days and i compared it to my friends "named brands" and they were identical.....

Unfortunately, there is more to good parts than just physical appearance in suspension parts. But it does sound reasonable at first glance.
